Pebble Ring Workshop

Description

Come along to Bright, Victoria and create your own special pebble ring, using 925 Sterling Silver.

No prior experience is required. The classes are designed for beginners, so you can learn the craft of silversmithing while having a bit of fun. Though best of all ... you get to wear your beautiful creations home (or you could make them for someone special in your life).

Lisa is a self taught silversmith and has over 6 years of experience. She will guide you through the process step by step, in a relaxed, calm and friendly environment.

Minimum number of students required to run a class : 3

What to bring:

• Hair tie - long hair

• Reading glasses - if you wear them.

• Enclosed shoes

• Water bottle 

  What is provided:

  • Tuition

  What you can expect on the day:

  There will be a class size of 4 in each workshop

  Material:

• 1 x 1.5 mm Solid Sterling Silver Wire

• .10 gm of sterling silver

What you will learn:

You will learn the basics of silversmithing:

• Sizing your finger with a ring sizer

• Measuring your wires

• Filing

• Sanding

• Shaping

• Soldering

• Texturing the metal (if required)

• Melting off cuts into a pebble shape

• Pickling

• Polishing

While we are polishing your beautiful ring in the tumbler, we can relax and chat.
